Governor Evers: “2023; The Year of Mental Health”
With a historic surplus of $7.1 billion in the State’s budget, 2023 presents itself with a clear opportunity to face the "quiet, burgeoning crisis" of mental health in our State, as the Governor dubbed it. This is an issue recognized by legislators on both sides of the aisle, albeit the fact that the vision of how to tackle this crisis might differ.
January Advocacy Update
As part of our advocacy efforts, NAMI Racine county has been actively engaging with legislators, the business community, and partners in order to promote services and legislation that can positively impact the lives of those living with a mental illness and their loved ones.

In 2020 Selena was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. With this knowledge, she started a journey of self-understanding that will lead her to reconnect with herself, her childhood roots, and her loved ones and to make peace with herself and her mind.
